Terms and Conditions for 1:1 Sessions with Dr Louise Carroll
Dr Louise Carroll's services are provided to you on the basis of these Terms & Conditions and my Privacy Policy.
Duration of session 60 minutes. Sessions usually start on time. If Dr Louise Carroll is running late she will make it up to you. If you are late, the time will be deducted from the session (cost is the same). If you are late more than 20 minutes the session will be cancelled as my work with clients is minimum 40 minutes.
Service is Psychological Therapies online. In person sessions are not available.
For online sessions You agree to try to attend all online sessions on a desktop or laptop computer - not a mobile device or tablet. (Mobile devices are unstable and cause an unnecessary distraction during the call). You agree to be in a room where you will not be distracted by day to day household activities and where you are able to have your webcam on. You agree to log on at least 5 mins before the session in case an update is required.
Payment:
Fee for 60 minute consultation is $250 payable at the time of consultation. Credit Card details are required and held securely on file for payment of consultations and/or cancellation fees. Credit Card processing fee applies ($1.00 plus 1.90%). Option to pay via direct deposit is available which avoids the fee. A receipt will be emailed to you immediately after payment if requested.
If Medicare rebate is applicable to your consultation then Dr Louise Carroll will process this refund for you at the time of payment (providing your bank account details and medicare number have been supplied) then a receipt will be emailed to you. Medicare rebate is usually paid within 24-48 hrs but please be prepared to allow up to 7 days for the medicare rebate to be paid into your account. Therapy will commence on completion of agreement to terms via a weblink that Dr Louise Carroll will email you before your first appointment.
Cancellation Policy:
Sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hrs before the session. Sessions cancelled or no show, with less than 24 hours notice, will be charged a full fee that is not claimable on medicare. Sessions will be cancelled if you are more than 20 minutes late for a session. Cancellation fee may be waived in emergency circumstances considered on a case by case basis.
Guarantee:
Dr Louise Carroll guarantees that services are rendered with due care and skill for the purpose that is advertised. Dr Louise Carroll cannot guarantee you will take the necessary actions identified through sessions or achieve a specific result. What you achieve is your choice and responsibility.
Confidentiality:
All communication and personal details during therapy will not be shared with a third party without your consent. All records will be kept secure.
It may not be possible to maintain confidentiality by law in the following circumstances:
if you are in danger of harming yourself or others
If your records are subpoenaed by the courts.
Dr Louise Carroll consults colleagues for supervision to ensure she if providing up to date quality care to clients. She may discuss your therapy during these consultations, and if she does, your confidentiality will be maintained.
